The curse of the creative mind

Mostly, on Twitter, I follow creative types.
Illustrators, artists, picture book makers … and one thing I’ve noticed that so many of us have in common is the “there’s not enough time in my lifetime to do all of the things and all of the projects and all of the ideas filling my head” dilemma.

This is how I feel ALL of the time. And it’s probably going to drive me crazy one day!

So so so many ideas. So so so little time, really. Especially when other bits of life get in the way. I go to bed with a head full of ideas, wake up with a head full of ideas and then, as the day progresses, more ideas squeeze their way in there. The more I see that inspires me, the more that inspiration turns into ideas.

The curse. Of the creative mind.

If you, lovely reader, are even the slightest bit creative, I know you know what I mean!

Things I drew in my sketchbook today:

  1. I’m bursting with ideas, too! Especially when I want to sleep after a very long day. And then… I can’t sleep, because of all those ideas. It’s totally devastating. Anyway, have a great week!!!
