Another new piece and a little revelation.

I have figured something out about myself over these last few days.
I’ve figured out that I am an ‘all or nothing’ kind of person.

A ‘go hard or go home’ type of gal.

A ‘poop or get off the pot’ lady.

Just think about it.
I decided I needed to draw more so I ended up drawing for 365 days straight.
I decided I wanted to try a few Jamie Oliver recipes so now I’ve pretty much committed to cooking every recipe in the 15 Minute Meals book and documenting it daily on Instagram. Then I decided I need a decent portfolio so, in four days I’ve completed five pieces.

Now, I’m not saying this is a good or a bad thing, just something that has become very clear to me and I’m sure psychologists out there have a special name and category for it but…

…I’m  probably better off not knowing.

Ignorance is bliss, right?

Here’s the new piece I finished last night and, I hope this doesn’t sound too cocky but…I really really like it. It’s my favourite so far. This one made me happy.

Veronica – acrylic paint, coloured pencil, photoshop, hand lettering.

I didn’t end up baking those hot cross buns though, perhaps that can be my Good Friday project.

  1. I love this! You’ve developed yourself an instantly-recognisable style. Someone is bound to snap up these illustrations! Now what would it take to convince you to apply your go-for-broke attitude to producing a book of your own?

    • Thank you! A book of my own is the plan, I just need….a GOOD story!! Actually I do have a few already written but they need some work, unfortunately I’m a better illustrator than I am a writer 🙂
