Hot. Cross. Buns.

I’ve been wanting to (threatening to) make my own hot cross buns for the last week and today I finally did it!

Wow! How good are home-made hot cross buns?!
They take way too long and are fairly high maintenance but entirely worth the effort and I’m glad I gave it a go. I feel a sense of accomplishment!

That said, I doubt I’ll be making them too often, all that waiting for yeast to rise is a bit tedious, but its definitely going to be my new Good Friday tradition.

Mine aren’t as neat and picture perfect as Donna’s but we all really, REALLY enjoyed them!
