I am having one of those days!

One of those days where, no matter how long you look at it, or how long you spend moving things a round on it, changing colours, changing scale and adding textures to it, you just can’t seem to get it right!

What I am happy about though is that it looks a lot better than it did last week.

The way it looked last week really REALLY bugged me!
Last week I did a thing with bears reading books and then a bear at bedtime and, even though I stuck it up here for the world to see, I knew it wasn’t right.

So I redrew it and reworked it and now maybe, maybe it’s almost there but I’m not sure what else to do to it!

It feels like it lacks a little … pizzaz.

A little somethin’ special.

A little bit of oooh and ahhh.

But I will post it today as a “finished piece” because I don’t want to look at it again until I have fresh eyes, and I also don’t want to forget about it.

Hmmm..what does it need?! Do the bears need to be bigger? Is that what it is?

STORYTIME - Kelly Canby

I know what I need though.
A trip to the park with friends then home for dinner and a glass of wine!

  1. How about a bit of humour with a little pet dog or a little cat, maybe peeking out from behind the chair ? Or how about something else peeking out from behind the chair ? What about removing that scary black bear from the cushion and have a toy bear dangling from the “boy bear’s ” paw ! . In any case , I love it .

  2. If you don’t need the format you’re using why not crop it to the chair and/ or make the wall hanging’s blue as well. Have samples but don’t know how to attach or send them to you. Very nice work!
