Kelly Canby is a children’s book author and illustrator based in Western Australia. Her work explores the strange, the tender, and the quietly absurd through colour, character, and visual storytelling.
She writes and illustrates intuitively, often following an idea until it reveals its shape. Her books are less about answers and more about noticing small moments, big feelings, and the spaces in between.
She works from her home studio, where days are spent drawing, painting, and slowly building new ideas into books.
