One-to-one illustration workshop
Three hours of getting our creative on, what could be better than that?!
Depending on your desired area of focus we can spend the time either:
• Working with paint and ink – Where I take you through my illustration process, how I create characters and how I capture movement and energy in my illustrations. This is a hands on workshop so you’ll be getting down and dirty too! Or,
• Picture book rough and book dummy creating – I’ll share with you tips on how to prepare thumbnails, rough sketches, layouts and dummy books for your own picture book project. Also a hands on workshop only less messy. If you bring as manuscript to work with, even better!
All materials supplied and venues vary but trust that wherever we go, it will be a creative, inspiring space!

Kids nature art workshop – for up to 10 kids
Join me in the lush, shady, park and lake area of Subiaco Common for three hours of fun in nature!
We will explore mono-printing onto paper and using all the nature around us as materials to create individual works of art before taking on one huge piece of work created by all the kids. It’s busy and it’s fun and there aren’t very many rules!
During the school year I work with the Creative Schools Program as a creative practitioner, which means that for 16 weeks of the year I spend time in the classroom with young people encouraging them to think creatively and look at the world in ways they might normally not so, my work with children is definitely not a “copy me and do what I do” experience. It’s all about play and exploration because I truly believe that’s where big ideas begin!
All materials supplied and you’re welcome to bring snacks, party food, picnics, whatever you like!
